SARAJEVO, May 15 (FENA) - The 25th anniversary of the Battle of Pofalići was marked in Sarajevo today with the laying of flowers at the memorial site.
Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, representatives of the FBiH and cantonal ministries for veteran affairs, the Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Nedžad Koldžo, and representatives of veteran associations, family members and friends, laid flowers at the memorial to the defenders of Sarajevo in the last war.
After laying flowers, a central commemorative event and a history hour was held at the Hum Center in memory of the Pofalići Battle.
The Battle of Pofalići codenamed "Grom" (Thunder), took place on May 16, 1992, in the capital of BiH, which was under complete siege at the time.
