Pidro: Border Police trying to be part of solution of migrant crisis in BiH

SARAJEVO, May 13 (FENA) - Border police is doing everything to be of use in solving a big problem, said police officer Naim Pidro at the thematic session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament dedicated to migrant crisis, especially the crisis which particularly affects Una-Sana Canton in the Federation of BiH.

Pidro said they expect more illegal migrant crossings on the so called Western Balkan route in the summer. Influx of migrants is growing from the states of so called high migration risk.

As of April 1 there are 100 new police officers employed in the Border Police and call has been announced for training 130 trainees, which should start in June, said Pidro.

Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and SIPA are assisting Border Police.
