Dodik and Džaferović meet with Albanian President Meta in Tirana

TIRANA/SARAJEVO, May 8 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik and the Presidency member Šefik Džaferović met today in Tirana with the host of this year's Brdo - Brijuni Process meeting, President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta.

The interlocutors agreed that the overall relations between the two countries are good, without outstanding issues, and that there is a mutual will for their improvement.

The opening of the embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Albania, as well as the embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will give additional impetus to the development of relations, especially in economy and tourism, which were the focus of the talks held today.

In this context, the two sides expressed readiness for the organization of business forums between the two countries.

Establishment of a direct air link between Tirana and Sarajevo would certainly contribute to the overall development of relations between the two countries.

The interlocutors also agreed that it is necessary to intensify cooperation through regional projects, such as the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian motorway.

At the end of the meeting, mutual support was reiterated for the European path and the officials expressed commitment to the continuation of regional cooperation, which is at the top of the foreign policy priorities of both countries, stated the BiH Presidency.
