SARAJEVO, April 19 (FENA) - The Office of the High Representative (OHR) considers the reasoning to be completely unclear for the establishment of a reserve force of the RS police, and calls on the National Assembly of RS (RSNA) to respond transparently to all the remarks directed towards them on this occasion.
This was a response from the OHR upon FENA’s query on the occasion of the adoption of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs in RS by the RSNA on Thursday, which envisages the establishment of a reserve police force in that BiH entity.
“The reason for the existence of a reserve police force is unclear to us. However, since the parliamentary procedure is still in progress, we invite RS officials to timely forwards the draft law for a wider debate among domestic and international actors, and we remind that the establishment of a reserve force must meet the needs that fall within the competencies of the entity of RS,” stated the OHR spokesperson Marijo Brkić.
