SARAJEVO, April 18 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović received today the delegations of Malaysia and Morocco and discussed with them the key issues for further improvement of economic relations with those countries, and in particular the increase in investments.
Šarović called for investments and development of better business relations and larger presence of Malaysia and Morocco in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This country is at the heart of Europe and apart from rich resources, we have a developed free trade with the countries of the European Union, CEFTA countries and EFTA agreements. It is true that the inflow of foreign investments is increasing, but also that it is much lesser than the country’s real potential,” said Šarović.
Minister of Development of Entrepreneurship of Malaysia Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan bin Yusof assessed the meeting with Minister Šarović as very useful, pointing out that they will serve as a guide for concrete steps in the trade cooperation between the two countries.
As good news, they highlighted the fact that as this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina has begun exporting sunflower oil to Malaysia, and that the necessary quality standards have been reached in that regard.
Šarović also talked with the Minister in the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, Lahcen Daoudi about the finalization of the two countries' agreement on economic and trade cooperation and tourism, with announced recent visit to Morocco by businesses from Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
