SARAJEVO, April 17 (FENA) - The meeting of the leaders of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik concluded today without agreement, but they stated that a significant step forward has been made for the formation of the new convocation of the Council of Ministers.
They managed to make an agreement on the distribution of ministries, so that the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Civil Affairs will be in the hands the parties gathered around the Croat National Assembly (HNS).
The SNSD will take over the position of the Chair of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, said Izetbegović today, adding that a part of this agreement is for a non-partisan person from among the other nations would be delegated from RS.
The meeting did not result in the signing of the document on the final agreement because the problem arose over the adoption of the First National Annual Plan, which would ultimately mean the activation of the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Asked by the journalists whether this meant that if Zoran Tegeltija, who was proposed by SNSD as Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, accepted this plan, that a new Council of Ministers' would be established, Izetbegović briefly said, "let's say that is the case."
After the meeting, however, Dodik reiterated the position of his party by saying that he would not accept any conditioning, and “that the plan according to which BiH is going to join NATO remains unacceptable for RS”.
