MOSTAR, 9 April (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina’s telecommunications company BH Telecom presented today and experimentally put into operation the new 4G + network at the International Economic Fair that opened in Mostar on Tuesday.
Acting Director General of BH Televom Sedin Kahriman said that the granting of licenses for the use of 4G network to telecommunication operators in BiH is a very important event for telecom operators, but also for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Yesterday we granted licenses for the use of 4G network, and today we have experimentally released a signal that our users could test that network, and the permit has been defined that the commercial release of the 4G + signal will start on May 8,” said Kahriman.
All users who want to use G4 + technology will have to replace their SIM cards with USIM cards.
“We launched a campaign a few days ago to inform our users about the steps they need to take in order to use the 4G signal and I'm satisfied with the fact that a significant number of them have made a replacement by now. Until the defined date of putting into operation, I expect that a large percentage of our users will be ready to use all the benefits when it comes to this technology,” Kahriman said.
He pointed out that 4G + technology will allow users much faster data transfer rates than it was the case until now.
