Džaferović: Dodik blocks the constitution of CoM and the Presidency’s work

SARAJEVO, 9 April (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović said in a statement to FENA that the only responsible one that the new Council of Ministers has not been established yet is Milorad Dodik.

Commenting on the claims of the BiH Presidency Chairman and President of SNSD that "Bosniaks are doing the blockades", Džaferović pointed out that this was yet another example of false reasoning, and that Dodik is the only one that is blocking the constitution of the new Council of Ministers, but also the work of the Presidency of BiH with his actions and statements.

“Dodik blocks the implementation of the BiH Defense Law and the fulfillment of our country's international obligations, and then blames the Bosniak political representatives for obstruction and says "BiH is impossible country".

This is nothing new; we have already seen such principles at work. First, they block all the processes and then he begins speaking about how institutions are not functioning and that this country is an "impossible state". It is very much possible. Let us see Dodik begin to respect the laws, let him begin to respect the state of BiH which he officially leads and we will have the Council of Ministers within 24 hours,” said Džaferović.

He emphasizes that Dodik, besides the establishment of the Council of Ministers, is also obstructing the work of the Presidency of BiH.

“It all comes down to a lot of talk no action. The BiH Presidency has not held a regular session since December last year, although sessions should be held as a rule every 14 days. Dozens of materials are waiting for the Presidency's decisions.

Although this is his obligation under the Rules of Procedure, Dodik has not even scheduled an extraordinary session on my specific request where I asked the Presidency to take an official stance on the continuation of the construction of the Pelješac Bridge, as well as to determine the position on the information related to the recruitment of BiH citizens by Croatia's security and intelligence agencies, and to consider possible diplomatic measures. There is no justification for the BiH Presidency not to do its job,” said Džaferović.
