SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović received in an inaugural visit the First Deputy High Representative in BiH and Supervisor for the Brčko District Michael Scanlan and High Representative Valentin Inzko.
During the meeting, the three of them exchanged views on the ongoing political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the activities that the OHR has undertaken within its mandate.
Džaferović expressed dissatisfaction with the weakening of the role of the international community in BiH, represented through the OHR, especially since the Dayton Agreement has not yet been implemented, along with the obstacles that prevent the full functionality of the institutions of our country.
He emphasized that the weakening of the role of the international community prior to the full implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement has encouraged the leaders of destructive policies, which could negatively affect the stability and development of BiH.
Džaferović stressed the obligation of the OHR, as integral part of the Dayton Peace Agreement, to remain in BiH and within its mandate, as long as the provisions of that agreement are not fully implemented in all segments, stated the BiH Presidency.
