BIHAĆ, March 26 (FENA) - Representatives of the Movement for a Modern and Active Krajina (POMAK) at today's press conference in Bihać pointed out that they asked for an extraordinary session to discuss the situation with migrants and refugees in this region from the chairman of the Bihać City Council Davor Župa.
They noted that they are still waiting for concrete engagement of competent state institutions in resolving of this situation.
“We sent an official request for the holding of an extraordinary session, because it is time for all parties that participate in the City Council to take a common stance, and in this way to send a message to the state that we need help.
The BiH Council of Ministers' operational task force has not done anything concrete in the past year to stabilize the situation, which is our greatest concern,” said a representative of POMAK in the Bihać City Council Dinko Bećirspahić.
“We ask them to take over the control and supervision of temporary reception camps in the territory of the canton, to prevent uncontrolled return of migrants and refugees to Bihać from Croatia, and to adequately control the eastern border of BiH.
The solution cannot be letting migrants and refugees pass freely, their uncontrolled movement and all of them concentrating in the USC area alone,” said Ilda Alibegović, a deputy in the Una-Sana Canton Assembly.
