SARAJEVO, March 19 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović and Secretary General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Enzo Quattrociocche signed today an Administrative Arrangement for the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of EBRD, as well as an investment conference and a business forum that will be held in Sarajevo in early May.
Šarović said that the forthcoming Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of EBRD was one of the events that he as Minister wanted to be held in Sarajevo, and thanked everyone who have helped him to achieve this goal.
“If we take the best advantage of this event and we do it together and wisely, I am convinced that we can do a lot to change the general perception of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this is a very important moment that we as a country should use,” said Šarović.
He added that this would be an opportunity that should be used by all levels of government, the Chamber of Commerce and FIPA, because similar opportunities do not come often for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Quattrociocche said that the preparations for the above mentioned events are in advanced stages and that they can rightfully expect that the meeting and the conference would be successful.
“International media, together with the domestic media outlets, will contribute to a truly global event that will represent a unique opportunity for Bosnia and Herzegovina to represent itself to the world and I am sure that you will be able to make the most of it,” said Quattrociocche.
Sarajevo will host the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of EBRD from 7 to 9 May, as well as an investment conference and a business forum, that will gather more than 2,000 representatives of the international business community, investors, senior state officials and representatives of civil society organizations.
