SARAJEVO, March 19 (FENA) - Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović met today in Sarajevo with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ji Ping, and talked about the possibilities of enhancing cooperation in culture, science and health sectors.
The Chinese Ambassador stressed the importance of establishing good relations in the field of culture, emphasizing that good knowledge of one another’s culture is the basis for any other type of close cooperation.
He emphasized that, thanks to cultural connections, there has been an increase in the number of tourists arriving from China to BiH.
Minister Osmanović emphasized the good bilateral cooperation between BiH and China, as well as the relations established within the 16 + 1 Initiative, and the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Chinese Ambassador Ji Ping expressed satisfaction that Chinese language is being taught more and more in BiH, since the Center for the Study of Chinese Language has been recently opened at the University of East Sarajevo, and there are also talks on similar projects with the University of Sarajevo.
Minister Osmanović and Ambassador Ji Ping expressed readiness for cooperation in science, technology and healthcare sectors, and later this year, a number of Chinese art ensembles will come to perform in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
