BANJA LUKA, March 18 (FENA) - Members of citizens’ group "Justice for David", for the first time in the past year will not gather today in protest, as they say the police rejected them the right for peaceful gathering at Banja Luka city square.

“There will be no lighting of candles in front of the Temple of Christ the Savior, or any kind of gathering at the Krajina Square. This is a form of protest, but also an alarm to everyone that this is what is being done to the people who just seek truth and justice and who are willing to stand with the Dragicević family,” said member of the "Justice for David" group Ozren Perduv.

In his address to reporters in the main Banja Luka square, he expressed disdain because the police refused to give permit to hold a planned two-hour gathering tonight at the site they now call David’s Square.

He says that the offices of the European Union Office in Banja Luka, the Ombudsman of BiH and the High Representative in BiH are monitoring the situation in Banja Luka.

“The authorities of RS considers as to be enemies of the state thus making us legitimate targets of potential attacks and we fear for our lives in this city,” said Perduv and reiterated the view that they are not destructive, they are not paid by anyone , but that they only seeking truth and justice.

He says that a year later they still do not know what happened to David Dragicević, and that nobody has been prosecuted for this crime.

Dragicević disappeared on March 18, 2018, and his body was found in the Crkvena River in Banja Luka on March 24, 2018.

His remains, at the request of his family, were exhumed and transferred to Austria on March 12, where they were buried their son again on March 15.
