TUZLA, March 17 (FENA) - Appeals Chamber of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals scheduled pronouncement of the final verdict against Radovan Karadžić for Wednesday, March 20.
President of Association “Women of Srebrenica” Hajra Ćatić said they fear the new verdict.
“Can you believe I am afraid? I am afraid because they asked for different judges and that they chose those that suit them. I am also afraid for Srebrenica, that they will say that there was no genocide. If that happens, I hope we will have the right to object and appeal because what is happening is scary,” said Ćatić, who has been searching for posthumous remains of her son since 1995.
Radovan Karadžić was found guilty for genocide in area of Srebrenica in 1995, for persecution, extinction, murder, deportation, terrorism, illegal attacks against non-Serb civilians and taking hostages.
