Prosecutor's Office opens investigation on allegations of Salafis recruitment

SARAJEVO, March 14 (FENA) - An investigation has been open by the Prosecutor's Office Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, that will undertake urgent activities in order to determine all the circumstances and allegations presented in the media in connection to the alleged recruitment of members of the Salafi movement by Croatian intelligence agencies to smuggle weapons in BiH.

The Prosecution will question all persons who made allegations and have knowledge of the above activities, and on which the Prosecutor's Office has not been informed, nor have the events been reported to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, it was announced from that institution.

“Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić will be summoned and questioned on all the details he gave in the media statements, on which he has submitted nothing submitted to the Prosecutor's Office, nor there was any report from the competent law enforcement agencies,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
