SARAJEVO, March 14 (FENA) - Improvement of education system in Sarajevo Canton (SC), implementation of the ENABLE project and future cooperation, were topics discussed by Minister of Education, Science and Youth of SC Zineta Bogunić and Head of the USAID Mission Peter Duffy, and representatives of the U.S. Embassy Holly Zardus, Veronica Czastkiewicz and Marinko Sakić.
USAID announced to invest approximately seven million dollars for development of the education sector, and special focus will be on training of teachers on new methodologies and teaching strategies.
It was stated that two STEM classrooms have been opened in area of Sarajevo Canton. This was done within project "Enhancing and Advancing Basic Learning and Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ENABLE-BiH), which is implemented by the U.S. International Cooperation Agency with Save the Children for Northwestern Balkans.
They also discussed the key components of the project and possibilities of its expansion to other elementary schools, SC Press service stated KS.
