The Veterinary Office is the competent institution that will issue licenses for exports to the EU market.

“The companies that have gone through this whole process - Madi, Brovis, Ovako, Argeta, will get the permits from the VO, but also companies such as Perutnina Srbac, whose parent company is in Slovenia,” added Šarović.

He reminded that 52 companies in our country are engaged in poultry farming, binding more than 300 farms and securing thousands of jobs.

Minister Šarović added that he believes that at least 10 other companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina have a serious chance to fulfill the conditions in a short time and start exporting to some of the EU countries.

General Manager of the company ‘Madi’, Maid Jabandžić said that their export license will bring them many new jobs, new production volumes, new capacities, and new financial flows.
