SARAJEVO, February 25 (FENA) - Today's meeting of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and the Democratic Action Movement (PDA) went on in a very good and constructive atmosphere, with a high degree of consensus on important priorities, the presidents of these parties stated after the meeting.

The SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović emphasized that the most important thing for this party is sincerity, cooperation among future partners, which excludes outvoting, in his words some of the reasons for the breakdown of SDA and leaving of the people who then formed PDA.

A true attitude towards cooperation will be a key issue for SDA before defining any coalitions, Izetbegović stressed.

He emphasized that SDA presented its work program for all the levels to representatives of PDA.

“PDA has already highlighted some of its priorities. There is agreement, first of all, about the need to connect with a quality road, possibly with a motorway, Sarajevo, Zenica and Tuzla, and then to accelerate the construction of energy infrastructure, including the TPP block in Banovići, which has been planned for a long time, while there haven’t been any concrete activities,” said Izetbegović.

Responding to journalists’ questions about desired partners in any possible future joint government – whether it would be the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) or the Democratic Front (DF), SDA leader replied that in last meeting with DF President Željko Komšić he had no the impression of full readiness for cooperation, but if something changes meanwhile,SDA, in line with what it has already emphasized, is in favor of a broader coalition so as to “narrow the space for those who want to block BiH's path to membership in NATO and the EU", and to be as few as possible of those who are blocking the reforms. However, it is early for conclusions, we should wait for the response from DF,” he added.

Speaking about priorities, Kukić emphasized the construction of thermal power plant blocks and a more equitable distribution of money from public revenues, so that the communities generate good amount of revenues would no longer suffer losses.

The PDA leader replied to journalists that they did not discuss the distribution of resources in a potential future coalition, nor was his party insisting on having the executive power in industry sector.
