BANJA LUKA, February 18 (FENA) - The National Assembly of RS today announced a tender for the purchase of eight new automobiles for the needs of the offices of the President, Vice-Presidents, parliamentary clubs and the entity parliament services.
The total value of the public call for the purchase of eight vehicles is 417,000 KM.
As a reason for the purchase of new vehicles, the officials from the RSNA said that the main reasons were “old age, worn-out vehicles and high repair costs".
“All the vehicles that are being replaced are older than ten years and have travelled over 200,000 kilometers,” stated the RS Assembly.
The entity parliament claims that the repairs of these vehicles last year alone cost them 27,821, KM "which, besides being unsafe, makes them not cost-effective anymore and expensive for maintenance due to frequent breakdowns".
