SARAJEVO, February 15 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović received today the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, General Wiranto.
The two officials expressed satisfaction with good level of political relations between BiH and Indonesia, as well as the fact that there are no outstanding issues between the two countries.
Džaferović expressed gratitude for the long-standing support and help of friendly Indonesia, which was reflected in the participation of Indonesian Armed Forces in the peacekeeping mission in BiH, as well as in several financial projects.
He also informed General Wiranto about the ongoing political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the process of establishing power at all levels.
General Wiranto, who is on his first official visit to BiH, congratulated everyone in BiH on a successful election process, and thanked everyone for a warm welcome.
He expressed gratitude for the support of BiH in the voting in the UN Security Council for Indonesia’s non-permanent membership by the end of 2020.
General Wiranto conveyed the greetings and invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo for the official visit of the BiH Presidency to Indonesia.
The interlocutors noted that the good political relations should be further improved, especially in the areas of economic and security cooperation.
In that sense, support was given to speeding up the negotiations on the conclusion of bilateral agreements, some of which are already in procedure.
Member of the BiH Presidency, Džaferović initiated the holding of a session of the Joint Commission for Trade Cooperation between BiH and Indonesia.
Also, the BiH Presidency member Džaferovic informed General Wiranto that BiH wants to expand its cooperation with Indonesia in the areas of tourism and trade, also, when it comes to agro-industry, especially in halal food production, which has been estimated that there is a great interest in the Indonesian market.
The two officials also emphasized the need for improving the cooperation between the state universities of the two countries, stated the BiH Presidency.
