SARAJEVO, January 17 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, yesterday received a delegation of the Bosniak National Council (BNV) in Serbia.
A delegation of the Bosniak National Council, led by President Esad Džudža, congratulated Džaferović on his election to the Presidency of BiH, and informed him about the elections and the constitution of the new convocation of the Council.
They discussed the position of the Bosniak people in Serbia, particularly in the Sandžak region, as well as the activities of the BNV on the protection and realization of the rights of the Bosniak people.
Džaferović wished success in the work of the new BNV convocation and supported all the activities that contribute to the fulfilment of the rights of Bosniaks in accordance with the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
He called on the Bosniaks in Sandžak to try to achieve as high a degree of political unity as possible and to articulate and realize their rights and interests through the activities of the BNV.
