SARAJEVO, December 27 (FENA) - Different policies of the main actors in BiH, which are often different when it comes to priorities, produced conflicts, stagnation and unequal progress of the country in reform and integration processes this year as well, said president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović today.

He noted at the New Year’s press conference that BiH continued making progress on its EU and NATO path, important steps have been taken, but the pace was slower than planned.

He reminded that four key strategies have been adopted, Questionnaire of the European Commission completed and he expects the additional answers to be completed by mid-January, which is why he believes it is realistic to expect BiH to get a candidate status for the EU membership in first half of 2019.

He added there has been growth in economy, export, new workplaces have been created in the real sector, Law on PIO has been adopted on the level of FBiH, public debt of the Federation reduced, and there have been investments in modernization of the airport, which created all necessary conditions for acceleration of construction of transport and energy infrastructure.

He emphasized that they first need to wait for the issue regarding implementation of the election results to be resolved before formation of government.

He stated that his offer to parties of BiH Bloc (SDP, DF and Our Party) for formation of government remains open, because he believes it is a good option for BiH, but if these parties remain pursuing their stance he announced that SDA will look for partners in other parties.

He concluded his address by promising citizens of BiH stabilization of opportunities in the country and progress in all important segments: progress in integration and reform processes, economy and progress in construction of transport and energy infrastructure.
