SARAJEVO, December 18 (FENA) - Leader of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) Dragan Čović, today, commenting on the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH with regards to the distribution of mandates in the House of Peoples of the FBiH parliament, said that anything that is not in line with the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH is unacceptable to them.

“Amendments to the Election Law is a matter for the legislative power, and not for any other body in BiH, which very clearly means that the issue belongs in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. The Central Election Commission was the one that made this decision. For us, the legitimacy of representation is the basis for everything,” said Čović to the press after the talks between HDZ BiH and the Party of Democratic Action.

He recalled that there is another appeal filed by Borjana Krišto, which will eventually come on the agenda of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

“We shall see what will happen to it. In any case, we are not happy that anyone does the job that the legislative power is meant to do,” said Čović.

President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, when asked to comment on today's decision of the CEC BiH on the distribution of the mandates in the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH Parliament, said that "it is good that they finally made a decision, but the rest of is not good, because they did something that goes against the Constitution."

“Therefore, all we can do is to appeal before the Constitutional Court,” said Izetbegović.
