SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - The newly elected deputy of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Branislav Borenović, said that the refusal to accept the certificates from the Central Election Commission issuance was the strongest message issued today to this institution.

Deputies of the Social Democratic Party (Saša Magazinović, Enver Bijedić, Zukan Helez, Nada Mladin and Nermin Nikšić) and the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) - Branislav Borenović and Mira Pekić, and a deputy of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Dragan Mektić rejected to take over their certificates today from the members of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Borenović explains that this message is mostly addressed to members of the CEC, as some 10 MPs today refused to receive the certificate from their hands.

“This shows how this institution has behaved during the entire electoral process. We filed a number of complaints and objections and we did not receive any positive response from the CEC,” he pointed out.

He called this year's parliamentary elections the most irregular with the most shortcomings, manipulations, threats and blackmail, all that the electoral process was unlawful.

Two MPs of the PDP brought in two panels at the constituent session of the House of Representatives, which list their demands, including the new election law, effective judiciary, i.e. truth and justice for all, and impartial public broadcasting service, and Borenović announced that they would bring those panels at each of the future sessions.

He also commented on the appointment of deputies in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH from Republika Srpska, since four of them are from the Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Nebojša Radmanović, Sredoje Nović, Dušanka Majkić and Nikola Spirić, and said that SDA and the Democratic People's Party (DNS) voted for this result.

“To give off such a powerful mechanism into the hands of one political party is unbelievable. We do not need a one-party system; we want an equal society with different opinions. This is a legitimate decision, but I am strongly against it,” concluded Borenović.
