SARAJEVO, November 29 (FENA) – First business and investment conference BiH- Ningbo, PR China, is being held in Sarajevo today, where it was emphasized the aim of the event is to encourage cooperation between BiH and PR China within the Belt and Road Initiative.
Deputy Director of the Commission for Trade of Ningbo Xu Jianhua said that Government of PR China strongly supports this initiative also by organizing Investment Fair for countries of Southeastern Europe.
He added this fair has been recognized by all 16 European partner countries in the Belt and Road initiative, including BiH.
"Ningbo is very much involved in this initiative and BiH was the focus last year, and we organized this conference because we believe that BiH has a lot to offer to investors," emphasized Xu Jianhua.
He welcomed BiH delegation to the next fair in Ningbo, adding he would be pleased to see them present their investment projects there.
Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić said that there are more than seven million residents in the city of Ningbo and nearby area and that it is important for organizing the 16+1 summit within the Belt and Road Initiative.
"We agreed visit of their business delegation because it is a very developed city and they gathered representatives of around 20 companies interested in cooperation with BiH," emphasized Milinić.
He said he hopes that today's contacts between Chinese and BiH companies will be successful, that cooperation will continue and that result of today's conference will be investments.
Conference gathered representatives of 17 Chinese companies, 27 proposers/owners of projects and business zones from BiH and 49 representatives of BiH companies.
