SARAJEVO, November 20 (FENA) - Newly elected member of the BiH Presidency and the Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik told reporters in Sarajevo today that he believes that, regardless of the different approaches on important issues, the three of them will be able to secure dialogue and discussion on the issues in the Presidency's competence.
"My primary goal is to restore Bosnia and Herzegovina's sovereignty by terminating the office of the High Representative and removing the foreign judges from the Constitutional Court. If this does not happen, I do not see the reason for spending energy on any other issues," said Dodik.
He added that he believes that "the foreign interventionism we had so far was detrimental to BiH, and it produced nothing substantial".
"I will not be doing anything at the expense of others, but I will not allow damage to be inflicted to my people and Republika Srpska where I come from. No one should expect that I, as a member of the Presidency, would have different attitudes and positions on multilateral or regional issues from Serbia. I consider Serbia a country that is the motherland of our people, and in this respect, we will share the same politics, not at the expense of someone else," Dodik said.
He expressed a commitment to regional cooperation and peace.
"A key measure of success at this time will be to preserve stability and peace. I do not think we can have stability or development with the presence of international interventionism," said Dodik.
