Book on role of high representatives in BiH promoted in Sarajevo

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, November 15 (FENA) - Master of Science in politology Berina Beširović promoted a book last night named "Role of Institution of High Representative in implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement".

"This topic is important for the next step of BiH, towards its state-legal development, because high representative is the ultimate interpreter of Dayton and crucial for political progress lays in his mandate. All powers are in his hands and he has the possibility to exclude those who violate statehood and sovereignty of the state from politics," said author of the book, who is also an assistant at Faculty of Political Sciences of the University in Sarajevo Berina Beširović.

Dean of the Faculty for Criminal Sciences, Criminology and Security Studies Nedžad Korajlić emphasized that the book includes views about numerous open issues of BiH reality and it encourages thoughts about the Dayton Treaty and points to importance of function of High Representative in BiH.

The book focuses on mandates of four high representatives in the period of 1995-2006 and most important steps in the implementation process.
