SARAJEVO, November 13 (FENA) - The Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom today in the barracks in Rajlovac donated equipment for a laboratory for learning the English language to the Center for Professional Development of KOIDs of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sead Jusić, BiH Deputy Minister of Defense, said that this donation represents a continuation of the assistance that the United Kingdom has provided to the Armed Forces and the BiH Ministry of Defense, which is of crucial importance for the training of the army personnel.
“Learning foreign languages is especially important for the BiH AF's ability to participate in peacekeeping operations,” said Jusić.
British Ambassador to BiH Matthew Field said that he was pleased that he attended today’s opening of a laboratory for learning English because such laboratories are very important part of his country's support for the Armed Forces of BiH.
He added that he has heard on numerous occasions about highly qualified military personnel from Bosnia and Herzegovina who are participating in peacekeeping operations around the world, which Britain supports and would continue to do so.
In addition to the Rajlovac barracks, the UK Ministry of Defense donated equipment for a laboratory for learning English to three other AF locations - in Zenica, Tuzla and Banja Luka.
