BiH Court and Law Faculty UNSA continuing cooperation agreement implementation

SARAJEVO, November 8 (FENA) - Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Hajrija Sijerčić-Čolić on Thursday held a presentation at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the recent amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Last June, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, signed an Agreement on Scientific, Educational and Professional Cooperation.

The Agreement covers several aspects of cooperation, namely Lectures and Presentations; Students; Professional Gatherings and Research. According to the Agreement, the Court and the Faculty of Law have defined the first quarterly Calendar of Activities, which specified the steps to be taken for the development of a higher degree of cooperation between the two judicial and educational institutions.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Hajrija Sijerčić-Čolić, held a presentation on the topic of “Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina No. U 5/16 of 1 June 2017.”

Following an introductory presentation, participating in a discussion with the Dean were judges of the Court, registrar for the Court, general secretary, heads of internal organizational units and professional court staff.

This is the third such presentation held in the framework of implementation of this segment of the Cooperation Agreement, which will include a series of lectures and presentations by representatives of the Court and the Faculty of Law, concerning selected topics of significance for both theory and practice.

The purpose of this type of cooperation is to improve expertise and exchange mutual experiences.

The Court and the Faculty of Law will continue to carry out activities in line with the agreed plan, about which the public will be duly informed, announced the BiH Court.
