BIHAĆ, November 6 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Republic of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina Guillame Rousson met today in Bihać with the City Mayor Šuhret Fazlić and the Una-Sana Canton Prime Minister Mustafa Ruznić and discussed the possibilities for cooperation, especially in the fields of education and culture.
Ambassador Rousson also took this opportunity to get better informed about the current situation with the migrants in this part of the country.
“I was particularly interested in how the French Embassy could strengthen educational and cultural links with Bihać. I came across a remarkable reception, and I am delighted with the work at the local Francophone Club. People are extremely benevolent towards France and the French language, which is the best recommendation for future cooperation,” said Ambassador Rousson.
He also expressed interest in cooperation in the field of tourism, especially after visiting the Una National Park.
Bihać Mayor Šuhret Fazlić emphasized that certain joint activities in the field of culture have already been agreed.
French Ambassador Rousson also got informed about the current migration situation, i.e. the possibilities of accommodation and support for the migrants currently residing there, as well as the activities of local authorities, international organizations, and the position of the local population with regards to the latest situation.
