Lijanović sentenced to 12 years in prison

SARAJEVO, October 22 (FENA) - Former minister of agriculture, water management and forestry of FBiH Jerko Ivanković Lijanović has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in the first degree ruling before the Court of BiH today.

Verdict was pronounced by the Department II for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption in the case Jerko Ivankovic Lijanovic et al., which includes ten persons and five legal entities that are sentenced to total of 52 years and eights months.

Apart from prison sentence, the Court ruled that the convicted persons will have to return the money they illegally gained.

Jerko Ivanković was not present at the sentencing.
