OSLO, October 21 (FENA) - Norwegian organizations "Bike for Peace" and "Mayors for Peace" announced at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Oslo their participation on July 11 next year in a memorial day and marking the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.
Members of these non-governmental organizations are former and current politicians, academicians, artists and other public figures in Norway.
Both organizations have been active all over the world since the 1970s.
Tore Naerland, head of this project, stressed that he is looking forward to visiting BiH and will make an effort to appeal to as many colleagues as possible to join him in July in Srebrenica. A bicycle marathon as well is planned for Potočari.
Ambassador of BiH to the Kingdom of Norway Nedim Makarević emphasized that such initiatives are very important to preserve the remembrance of the Srebrenica genocide.
