SARAJEVO, October 19 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is willing to get involved in solving the problems of the company Aluminij Mostar, as much as it is in its power, said at a press conference after today's session of the Government, where the problems of this company were the main item on the agenda, FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and Finance Minister Jelka Milićević, pointing out that the Government is the owner of 44 percent shares in this company.

Since the Croatian Government is a co-owner with 12 percent stake, the Government of the Federation of BiH expects this party to get involved in solving of the problem.

“The FBiH government will not allow the factory to be closed, it will try to keep the operational mode and will get into problem solving,” said Prime Minister Novalić.

The departmental ministry in the next two weeks should analyze the existing legal framework in the FBiH, considering the possibility of reducing fees for major systems such as Aluminij Mostar in relation to renewable energy sources.

The FBiH Government has already taken some steps in this regard, among other things, it allocated 2,6 million KM in April for the past work service of the employees in order to help their retirement, Minister Džindić said.

On 30September 2018, Aluminij Mostar’s debt amounted to 344 million KM, of which 23 million KM is with commercial banks, and 132 million KM are current liabilities.
