SARAJEVO, October 19 (FENA) - Story about ten young reconciliation ambassadors of the USAID re:Generation Project, who researched interpersonal relations over the past year and advocated understanding and reconciliation in BiH, was shown in a documentary by Emir Kapetanović, which was premiered at the Meeting Point Cinema in Sarajevo last night.

Apart from numerous guests, participants and partners of the project, premiere was attended by the U.S. Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack.

"We are grateful to our partners who took part in this project, the International Republican Institute, Magacin Kabare, and all individuals who worked together. Last spring I met and talked to ten reconciliation ambassadors and what I can say is that they simply show dedication and commitment to work on the most difficult issues in this country in order to make a better future for themselves and their families," stated Ambassador Cormack before the premiere.

After this film is screened in all ten cities from which the reconciliation ambassadors are coming, added Cormack, it will also be screened in the USA.

Documentary is about a generation which had to travel to the past in order to change its future. On this travel, young reconciliation ambassadors are visiting BiH cities, talking to former soldiers and war victims, religious leaders and others. Despite many divisions this film has shown that everyone agrees on one thing, which is that changes in BiH can only be launched by young people.

Director of the film "re:Generation" Emir Kapetanović said that this is the first time that a documentary has gathered this many representatives of different ethnic groups and enabled them to exchange experience and views on present and the future of BiH.

"Understanding and reconciliation is the only path that everyone has wanted to take for a long time," said Kapetanovic.

With their example, reconciliation ambassadors showed their fellow citizens that apart from great number of young people who are leaving our country, there are also those who want to stay and build a better future for themselves and all future generations.
