Judgment upheld in Lejla Dautbašić case for the criminal offense of fraud

SARAJEVO, October 18 (FENA) - On 19 September 2018, the Appellate Division Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent out an appeals judgment in the case of the accused Lejla Dautbašić, dismissing as ill-founded the appeal filed by defense counsel, and upholding the trial judgment of the Court of BiH delivered on 25 January 2018.

The trial judgment of the Court of BiH had found the accused Lejla Dautbašić guilty of the criminal offense of Illegal Interceding under Article 219(1) of the Criminal Code of BiH and the criminal offense of Fraud under Article 294(1) of the CC FBiH, all as read with Article 53 of the CC BiH.

Concerning the criminal offense of Illegal Interceding under Article 219(1) of the CC BiH the accused received a sentence of 8 (eight) months of imprisonment, and for the criminal offense of Fraud under Article 294(1) of the CC FBiH a sentence of 6 (six) months of imprisonment. In that regard, the accused received a compound sentence of 1 (one) year of imprisonment, stated the BiH Court.
