Minister Milićević meets with a delegation of French Development Agency

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, October 17 (FENA) - The FBiH Finance Minister Jelka Milićević and her associates met today with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of France in BiH and the French Development Agency (AFD).

The visit of officials from France was a chance for a first meeting between the FBiH Ministry of Finance and the French Development Agency.

The delegation was attended by Ambassador Guillaume Rousson, Senior Advisor Xavier Rouard, AFD Regional Manager Dominique Hautbergue, AFD Associate Valentina Spina, Economic Affairs Attaché Nives Pavlinović, and Financial Attaché Jean-Baptiste Brasseur, stated the FBiH Ministry of Finance.

As it was highlighted at the meeting, the French Development Agency is a worldwide public development bank, which is present in more than 100 countries, with 3,600 projects and investments worth over 10 billion euros.

Following a summit in London this July, France decided to extend the AFD's mandate to Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries in the region.

Representatives of the Agency and the Embassy pointed out that this is the beginning of fruitful future cooperation, which will enable the financing of concrete development projects in the upcoming period, in areas such as environmental and climate protection, strengthening of infrastructure, energy and health sector.
