'Eco Cheese Pudja' wins first place at the Balkan Cheese Festival

SARAJEVO, October 17 (FENA) - According to the audience, "Eco Cheese Pudja" from Livno was voted best cheese at the 8th Balkan Cheese Festival.

This award is another proof that cheese from BiH enjoys great trust of consumers in the region, but also among cheese producers.

Meeting of cheese producers in Belgrade was also an opportunity to establish cooperation, connect distributers and exchange information about challenges at the international cheese market. USAID/Sweden FARMA II supported "Eco Cheese Pudja“ by co-financing procurement of equipment for subcontractors, and through educations and training programs which contributed to raising production standards.

Balkan Cheese Festival was held at the Belgrade Youth Hall and it gathered cheese producers from Serbia, BiH, Montenegro and guests from France and Holland. After Croatia and Montenegro, Serbia is the third biggest cheese export market for BiH, USAID/Sweden FARMA II stated.
