SARAJEVO, October 12 (FENA) - Under the ErasmusDays Campaign, today, the students in Sarajevo were presented the opportunities of the European Union Erasmus + program, giving them a chance to improve their knowledge and skills, enabling them potentials for future employment.

“The European Union financially supports this program, i.e., the academic exchange and cooperation of universities worldwide, which is reflected in the exchange of students and teachers, and also encourages universities to collaborate on various joint projects,” said the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Khaldoun Sinno.

He confirmed that the participation of BiH students is increasing each year, and this year 1,000 students from BiH studied at foreign universities, while universities in BiH received 600 foreign students.

In total, 175 private and public academic institutions participated in the program, establishing cooperation between more than 20 countries.

“A new call for the Erasmus + program and its associated campaigns will be announced in November. In this way, universities and institutions will be able to apply for the use of funds offered by the European Commission,” said the Expert Associate for International Cooperation at the University of Sarajevo Adnan Rahimić.

He added that the 'Erasmus +' program also provides a monthly allowance of 750 to 850 euros with travel expenses.
