ZAGREB/MOSTAR, October 9 (FENA) - A newly elected member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the preliminary results Željko Komsic (DF), told the Croatian national TV outlet HRT that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the right to sue the Republic of Croatia because, as he says, it has, on two occasions, violated the International Convention on the Law of the Sea by acting unilaterally.
“We have the right to sue the Republic of Croatia before the International Court of the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, because as a state, it has violated the International Convention on the Law of the Sea in two different aspects. Why does it connect to the Pelješac Bridge? Because you use it as a trump card, you do not want to determine the sea border, and you have never showed intent to comply with the Tuđman-Izetbegović agreement on the sea border. Because, if you did, you would know that this Pelješac Bridge would in fact go over the Bosnian and Herzegovinian maritime space,” said Komšić.
