SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - Awards were presented for contribution to development of halal industry in BiH, region and the world at the Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2018.
Organizers of the fair, Bosnia Bank International (BBI), Islamic Community in BiH and Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), presented first prize to BiH Company AS Holding for the most halal certified products, around 906 of them.
Mufti of Zagreb Aziz ef. Hasanović won an award for extraordinary contribution to development of halal industry in the region, whereas the award for extraordinary contribution to development of halal industry in BiH went to professor of Faculty of Technology of the University in Tuzla Midhat Jašić and Director of the Media Center of ICBiH and former director of the Halal Quality Certification Agency in BiH Amir Sakić.
Award for contribution to development of halal industry in BiH went to Institute for Standardization of BiH.
According to the visitors of SHF 2018, Macedonian company UKA Commerce from Skopje had the best stand at the fair.
SHF 2018, which was held in Skenderija, gathered more than 500 guests from 40 states and around 100 presenters.
Several bilateral meetings were held between regional producers of halal products and providers of halal services from BiH and panel discussions were held as well.
