"Market of the Islamic world is big. We are talking about population of approximately 1.8 billion residents, which makes around 24 percent of the global population. It is a big market and producers are interested in it and we need to be part of such processes. He noted we have a great number of certified producers who are trying to penetrate the market, adding he sincerely hopes that through this fair and with active cooperation and exchange of information, doors will open to our producers to establish business contacts and turn them into new and big contracts, which will result in export of BiH products to the global market.

Sarajevo Halal Fair gathered halal producers, distributers and buyers from the entire world and once again placed Sarajevo and BiH on map of the most important economic and business meetings.

"Apart from business forums and fairs that are held across BiH, some of which have become recognizable on regional and international level, this fair gives new dimension to Sarajevo and BiH. I see Sarajevo Halal Fair not only as a promoter of activities directed towards strengthening of BiH economy and ongoing connectivity of businessmen, but also as one of perspective strategic links of economy of the entire region," emphasized Zvizdić.

He emphasized that results achieved in foreign trade exchange of BiH confirm ongoing and positive economic growth and improvement of the overall economic situation in our country, as well as increase of level of competitiveness of BiH products and BiH economy.

He reminded that the GDP growth was above 3 percent in 2017 and this trend continued in 2018. Volume of foreign trade exchange of BiH came close to the amount of 30 billion KM in 2017 for the first time and growth of export as a key indicator of economic development in 2017 was among the biggest in the region, 17.5 percent.
