SARAJEVO, September 21 (FENA) - The Russian Federation stands for the consistent and full implementation of the Dayton Agreement, which implies the integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but against the demonizing of Republika Srpska (RS).

The BiH Presidency member Mladen Ivanić conveyed at today’s press conference the basic message of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov after Lavrov met today with the BiH Presidency members in Sarajevo during his official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ivanić considers this Russian stance a very fair one and added that Lavrov expressed his country's strong interest in developing good relations and helping Bosnia and Herzegovina "where we believe they can be of help" and that Russia will not be imposing itself in any way.

Lavrov also conveyed Russian interest in economic cooperation, Ivanić said, adding that there is room for BiH businesses that want to access Russia's huge market.

The BiH Presidency member Mladen Ivanić will not go to Banja Luka today, where a meeting between Minister Lavrov and RS officials will take place in the afternoon.

Ivanić added that he was not even invited to be in Banja Luka today, and reminded that Bosnia and Herzegovina's Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak is Minister Lavrov’s host during his visit to BiH.
