SIPA temporarily seizes certain documentation from Ministry of Defense of BiH

SARAJEVO, September 21 (FENA) - Acting on orders of the Court of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), temporarily seized original documentation related to sale and delivery of surplus weapons and ammunition to a firm from the Republic of Croatia, in accordance with agreements that the FBiH Ministry of Defense and the RS Directorate for Production and Transport of Weapons and Military Equipment signed with a firm from the Republic of Croatia during 2003 and 2004, whereas annexes to the aforementioned agreement was signed by Ministry of Defense of BiH.

Aforementioned activities are result of an investigation that was conducted after orders of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, which refers to existence of suspicion that two decisions were made and four annexes signed on sale of non-perspective weapons and ammunition from 22nd March 2010 to 22nd October 2010 without consent of the BiH Presidency, which as a result caused damage to the budget of BiH institutions in the total amount of approximately 6.297.580,25 KM, SIPA stated.
