BiH exports increased by 10.4 percent, but imports as well by 8.2 percent

SARAJEVO, September 20 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina has realized exports worth seven billion and 820 million KM in the past eight months of this year, which is 10.4 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 12 billion and 674 million KM, which 8.2 percent more compared to 2017.

The import-export ratio was 61.7 percent, and the foreign trade deficit amounted to four billion and 854 million KM, according to the data from the Statistics Agency of BiH.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 251 million KM, which is 9.1 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 1, 526 million KM, which is 4.1 percent more compared to 2017.

Import-export ratio with CEFTA countries amounted to 82 percent.

Exports to the EU countries amounted to 5 billion and 733 million KM, which is 12.4 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 7 billion and 614 million KM, which is higher by 6.7 percent compared to 2017.

The import-export ratio with EU countries was 75.3 percent.
