SARAJEVO, September 13 (FENA) - Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark said today in Sarajevo that much has happened in BiH since the beginning of the reform process four years ago and that progress has been made but the situation is far from satisfactory.
Ahead of the start of the first series of debates on the need for further reforms, held at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sarajevo, Wigemark said that today unemployment rate is lower in BiH but there are still not enough jobs, especially for young people.
“A lot more needs to be done within the rule of law because this can help attract more investments, healthcare also should be reformed, along with wider use of the digital economy,” said Wigemark.
Ambassador of Germany to BiH Christiane Hohmann said that participants in these debates should formulate legislative changes that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs in the upcoming period.
She added that they wanted to encourage BiH citizens to openly say what they expect from politicians and what direction they want this country to take.
