FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 7 (FENA) - Despite the major challenges that hinder global trade, fluctuations and the fall in the value of Turkish lira, the volume of trade between the two countries has not been not compromised, and in the first half of 2018, exports of industrial products from Bosnia and Herzegovina have increased, it was concluded at the meeting between Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović and the newly appointed Minister of Trade of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan, held today in Izmir.

The two ministers discussed today several key trade and economic issues of mutual interest. They agreed on the continuation of meat exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkey.

Minister Šarović, together with Serbian Minister of Tourism and Trade Rasim Ljajić, attended the opening of the largest food and beverage trade fair in Izmir and visited the booths of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, which is also this year's partner of the event.

The main goal of the support to the organization of the fair is the promotion of BiH companies in the field of agriculture and food industry and increasing the export of our products to the international markets, stated the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
