BANJA LUKA, September 6 (FENA) - At today's session, the RS Council of People did not support the Bosniak caucus’ veto on the conclusions of the National Assembly of RS, which rejected the Commission’s Report on events in and around Srebrenica between July 10 and 19, 1995.

The matter will be discussed by the Joint Committee of the National Assembly and the Council of Peoples of RS, and if there is no agreement on the Assembly's conclusions, adopted on 14 August with the opposition of Bosniak MPs, it will go before the Constitutional Court of the entity.

Head of the Bosniak caucus in the RSNA, Mujo Hadžiomerović pointed out that the conclusions of the National Assembly are factually and constitutionally unfounded and therefore unacceptable to the Bosniak people.

“We are currently witnessing the implementation of the second Memorandum of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, as its conclusions’ main purpose is to redefine the truth about Srebrenica, deny the genocide ever happened, conceal historical facts, change the character of the war in BiH, minimize the scale of the war crime and the number of victims of the aggression and genocide, and in particular erase the national and religious identity of the Bosniak people,” stressed Hadžiomerović.

He also emphasized that no one is trying to disregard or degrade the innocent Serb victims, but he stressed that the document in question concretely refers to the events in Srebrenica in 1995.

“Around 23,000 Bosniaks were killed in central Podrinje. Trying to minimize or erase the victims of such genocide is absolutely inadmissible. It is unheard anywhere in the world that the one who committed genocide forms a commission which sole purpose is to challenge the court established facts and the judgments on the genocide in Srebrenica,” concluded Hadžiomerović.
