SREBRENICA, August 8 (FENA) - Leader of the "Response Movement" and a candidate for Vice-President of Republika Srpska, Ćamil Duraković, said today that the announced Bill that would make the Cyrillic alphabet the main script in RS is yet another populist message of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats and a continuation of making the public in RS comfortable with the discrimination of Bosniaks and the Bosnian language in this BiH entity.
“RS Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović is now using the idea about the supremacy of the Cyrillic alphabet as another provocation, and yet another way of drawing attention from disastrous economic situation and collapse in RS,” said Duraković.
Duraković stressed that no one any more is even responding to such behavior and that Bosniak politicians only issue strong condemnations and then the story ends.
“The government in RS wants to completely dehumanize Bosniaks, continually confirming that they do not respect any of our desires, ideas, initiatives, or our rights. This is one of the first stages of a new genocide, and therefore the world public has to watch closely the developments in this regard before everything escalates,” warned Duraković.
