"Rally for Heroes" arrives in Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, August 8 (FENA) - Hundreds of super expensive sports automobiles today, after the ride through Mostar, arrived in Sarajevo as part of one of the oldest humanitarian campaigns of support to the British soldiers and their families - "Rally for Heroes".

British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Edward Ferguson stressed that it was a great feeling to watch 60 great cars for ten days traveling through ten countries, aiming to pay tribute to the fallen British soldiers.

“This is my last public event that as an ambassador in BiH and it has been truly fun,” said Ferguson.

Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka, expressed satisfaction that Sarajevo was chosen as one of the cities to host these drivers.

Sixty sports cars will travel through ten countries in ten days and ride for five thousand kilometers raising money.

"Rally for Heroes" is organized every two years and this is its fifth edition. It involves members of the British Armed Forces, veterans, as well as civilians, who are brought together by the love for cars and the desire to support the Armed Forces.

The organizer of this humanitarian tour is the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Armed Forces of BiH and the city administrations of Mostar and Sarajevo.
