SARAJEVO, August 7 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hani bin Abdullah Mominah, today hosted a reception for the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Selman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who will perform the pilgrimage of the Hajj this year.
Mominah pointed out the importance of the project "Guests of the Servant of the Two Noble Harems", as well as other projects implemented by the KSA Government through the Embassy, and said that this is a sign of friendship and great respect for BiH and its people.
“The pilgrims will have the opportunity to meet with their colleagues from other countries, from around the world, to present Bosnia and Herzegovina and life in their country in the most beautiful way possible. It is also a way to create new friendships,” said Ambassador Mominah.
He expressed hope that the pilgrims in the sacred places of Mecca and Medina would pray for their homeland, peace in the world, and for those who helped them travel and perform the Hajj.
The pilgrims who will perform the hajj that is being sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Harems - King Selman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, are academicians, university professors, doctors, economists.
It is expected that this year the Hajj will gather around 2.5 million pilgrims from all over the world.
The fifth sacred duty of each Muslim, the Hajj, will be performed by 1,680 believers from Bosnia and Herzegovina. They will travel from Sarajevo on 8, 9, and 10 of August to Mekka and Medina.
